Brera is Italy’s first design district, playing host to over 90 events during the busy week. Hands-down one of the most beautiful parts of Milan with world class design (and fabulous people) watching, is simply unmissable. Densely populated cobble stone streets are lined with high-end showrooms, galleries, restaurants and bars, with some pretty amazing shopping sprinkled in between – if you have the time, and the cold hard cash.

There is always a lot to see and do in Brera. Some of this year’s highlights were the truly sublime Dimore Gallery (see our full article ); celebrated their 80th year with an extraordinary kitchen designed by Patricia Urquiola; created a superb installation for titled “Space Dipped Shirts” which celebrated the iconic white shirt of the much loved Swedish fashion brand; Atelier Clerici at was one of the best destinations of the entire week (separate report can be seen here); HAY & presented Mini Market, an on-site pop-up shop where visitors could purchase accessories and textiles.
