Residential Interior Design 2015 Archive | Yellowtrace

If there’s one category that’s never in short supply for us to cover here on Yellowtrace, it’s sensational Residential Interiors (and Architecture). Like most human beings, we are passionate about homes and seeing the way people live around the globe, and celebrating the individuals (or teams) who bring these projects to life.

People often ask me – “what are you looking for in the projects you chose to feature on Yellowtrace?” I find it difficult to articulate my decision making process, but the answer always comes back to an instinct and a gut reaction. I always look for a point of difference and a certain star quality. I want projects not just to agree with me, but sometimes also to challenge me, shift my preconceived ideas of what an interior should look like – as it’s only in those moments we can grow, both personally and professionally. Above all, I always look for projects that have the guts to stand on their own two feet and not follow the rules, and worse still – trying to recreate a signature “look”. (Queue internal scream now!)

In 2015 we’ve covered a whole variety of homes and apartments ranging from pedigree heritage buildings to converted schools, old warehouses and everything in between. I hope you enjoy the selection.
